ABOUT ME



Paméla Michelle Tate, Ph.D., is a San Francisco native,an author, domestic abuse advocate, preventionist, speaker, survivor, and trainer.

She is passionate about policy and speaking out for the voiceless. She is a multidimensional

professional who specializes in culturally responsive care that best serves the needs of survivors. 


She is currently the Executive Director of Black Women Revolt Against Domestic Violence,

which is a black family violence-focused resource center serving families in San Francisco. In

addition to running the organization, she provides training for survivors, community members,

and service providers.


Paméla Michelle recently completed the Public Voices Fellowship of the OpEd Project,

which was funded by the Blue Shield of California Foundation. 


She is currently a member of the following organizations: San Francisco Domestic Violence

Consortium, Culturally Responsive Domestic Violence Network, UCSF IPV Community

Advisory Council. She is an appointed member of the California Partnership to End Domestic

Violence's Policy Advisory Committee. She is also serving her 2nd two-year term as the Northern California Coordinator of Domestic Violence Initiatives for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.

She recently completed serving as the Interim Co-Chair of the

San Francisco Women’s Housing

Coalition.
